  • Meditation Cafe
    You are invited to a free 15 minute meditation guided by a qualified meditation teacher. The purpose of meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful. When our mind is peaceful we reduce stress levels and develop a feeling of well being. Everyone is welcome to try out meditation and stay for a coffee and cake and browse our bookshop. Meditations begin at 10.30am, 11.30am and 12,30pm

  • Needle Felted Hare workshop
    This workshop is an introduction to needle felted animals. You will learn how to sculpt with fleece to create the body and limbs of the hare and how to attach them altogether. You can create the pose for your characterful Spring hare as you work.

  • Experimental Quilt making 4 week course
    Kay's workshops are not about an end product but about exploring ideas and techniques to help participants develop their own ideas. Over 4 days Kay will teach the following skills to create your own beautiful quilt from scratch. Workshop 1 - Dying and colouring - create a palette of materials through simple dying techniques. Workshop 2 - Mark making and print - Add designs to fabric by simple mark making and print. Workshop 3 - Improv quilting - Explore cutting and tearing your material, joining it, cutting it and joining it again. Workshop 4 - Building and layering - Develop and add dimension to your art quilt with layers of sheer fabrics, padding and reverse applique.
