Vaughan Williams at 150
RESCHEDULED: Cumbria Festival Chorus and Orchestra, conducted by Ian Jones, with soprano Sarah Fox and baritone Roderick Williams, celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Ralph Vaughan Williams. A Sea Symphony, Benedicite, The Lark Ascending (soloist Roland Fudge). Children and students free. Tickets purchased for 9th July concert will be honoured.VENUE: Kendal Leisure Centre

Through a series of explorations, you will create images using a range of drawing media in direct response to your observations in and around the beautiful Footprint and National Trust St Catherine's estate in Windermere. Gather your images and develop them further into your personal art book of discoveries. You will be encouraged to make marks and create textures using drawing materials, and collage, in series of exploratory exercises. In week two the session focuses on creating art booklets, led by artist Elizabeth Shorrock. You will look at ways in which to record and arrange your artwork using a range of paper booklet formats.
