  • Outdoor Shakespeare in the Park - Much Ado About Nothing
    Picnic blankets at the ready as the popular Festival Players Theatre Company are set to return to Ford Park, Ulverston, this summer - this time to perform Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. Starting at 7.30pm, on Saturday 20 July, this beguiling comedy, with its all-male production, promises to be fantastic entertainment for a summer evening. Bring your own chairs, rugs and blankets and a picnic to enjoy (hot/cold drinks and refreshments will be available) Tickets are now on sale at the Coach House Cafe - simply pop in to purchase yours or call 01229 581666 (payment required on purchase of tickets) Tickets are £13 for adults, £12 concessions, £8 children/students and £36 for a family ticket (2 adults/2 children). 10% discount for parties of 10 or more. *Please note - tickets are non-refundable*

    Green Door, the region's leading artists collective, is returning to Farfield Mill in Sedbergh for a group exhibition which showcases a wide variety of two and three dimensional work on the theme of 'Roots'. The exhibition will see paintings, drawings, prints, textiles, jewellery, ceramics, wood and glass on display from the group's members and provides a great opportunity for visitors to see the breadth of members work in a stunning setting.
