Iain Matthews' critically acclaimed memoir Thro' My Eyes is structured around a series of Matthews' songs and illustrated by the stories that inspired them. Together with co-author Ian Clayton, this intimate show brings the book to life with stories read by Ian Clayton interspersed with live songs from Iain Matthews. Iain Matthews is best known as vocalist for Fairport Convention, Matthews Southern Comfort, Plainsong and a prolific solo career. In over 50 years in the music business, he has made a string of highly regarded albums and was recently described as '˜the Godfather of Americana in the UK'. Ian Clayton is an author, broadcaster and storyteller. His books include Bringing It All Back Home, a bestselling book about music; Song For My Father about his lifelong search for a father figure; Our Billie about loss; and It's The Beer Talking about a life in public houses and ale.
