Create painterly monotype prints using different techniques and a printing press. An expressive approach to printmaking, this is an ideal introduction to this wonderful medium.
What will the sessions cover and how will it be taught?
Working directly onto a plastic sheet, use brushes and rollers to apply printing ink and develop images using lifting techniques, layering and stencils. Starting with black ink before experimenting with colour you can work realistically using a reference image (landscape, still life, figure) or take a more abstract approach based on imagination.
