Local Elections and the Police and Crime Commissioner Election 2021

Local elections in Cumbria were held on Thursday 6 May 2021. These elections were for:


  • the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for the Cumbria police area 

  • councillors for parish and town councils in some areas

  • by-elections for district and county council seats where the vacancy has arisen since 13 March 2020

County wide elections for all eighty-four electoral divisions of Cumbria County County were scheduled to take place on 6 May 2021 but have been rescheduled to May 2022 due to the consultation on proposals for unitary government in Cumbria.
