Equality Impact Assessments (EIA's) are risk assessments that we carry out of all of our services, to make sure that they are not disadvantaging any sections of the population. This is known as negative impact.
Wherever we find a negative impact we have to:
- Check whether we can take action to address it
- Set objectives to address it in our annual Service Plans
- Make sure that it is being built into staff appraisal objectives.
The Cumbria Observatory consists of population data that can be used to help support Equality Impact Assessments.
