Children and Families

Fawcett Society 
Fawcett campaigns for gender equality in the UK, looking at women's rights in issues such as equal pay, pensions, poverty, justice and politics.

National Charity which provides advice and practical support for single parents.

The Rights of Women
Rights of Women works to attain justice and equality by informing, educating and empowering women on their legal rights.

The Gender Trust 
The Gender Trust is a UK organisation supporting transsexuals and others suffering from Gender Identity Disorder by promoting public education about transgender issues and providing information to those affected.

Gires is a UK wide organisation whose purpose is to improve the lives of trans and gender non-conforming people of all ages including those who are non-binary and non-gender.

LGBThq (opeated by Sticky Bits CIC) is an umbrella term for the centre and the individual charities, groups, projects and other organisations it houses. These include PiNC LGBT and Youth (Pride in North Cumbria), Cumbria LGBT Pride, free counselling, a third party Hate Crime Reporting Centre, Anti-Bullying Campaign, social and support groups, LGBT and outreach and consultation and fundraising events.

Outreach Cumbria help develop links between Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual and Transgender people.

Stonewall a national organisation that advocates for the rights of those in the LGBT community.

Cumbria Registration Service (Cumbria County Council)
The Cumbria Registration Services manages process of registering births and deaths, and the legal preliminaries and conducting of ceremonies for civil marriages and civil partnership.

Children and Young People with disabilities: 

Cumbria's Local Offer is the door to finding information and support available for children and young people aged 0 to 25 with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) and their families. 

Our Children's Centres offer a range of support for families with children and young people.
