Here at Maudes Meadow we provide quality residential accommodation. The home includes two units both of which have their own dining area and lounge. The home is located near the centre of Kendal with beautiful views over the town and local church.
We are proud to deliver high quality care for our residents. We offer support to families going through difficult times. We also provide guidance to friends and relatives, advising of other support channels available to them.
In March 2017 at our last CQC inspection we were rated Overall Good. Comments from the inspectors included:
- people were supported to maintain good health and appropriate referrals to healthcare professionals were made
- there was a clear management structure in place and staff were happy with the level of support they received
- People living in the home were supported to access activities of their choice.
Here at Maudes Meadow we deliver a wide range of activities to our residents including:
- flower arranging
- craft sessions
- dominoes
- bingo
- quizzes and card games.
We also have armchair exercises and regular entertainment.

The home runs for the residents and around the individual needs of each person living at Maudes Meadow. You can feel the calm and friendly atmosphere as soon as you walk through the front door. As the Registered Manager I am filled with pride when I speak to residents and staff and hear how happy they are to be here."

Our cooks are exceptional; they are experienced and well trained especially in dietary requirements for the elderly.
The cooks take into account the likes and dislikes of individual residents as well as any special diets which may be required. The home caters for all diets, and adapts the food on offer depending on resident's medical requirements, cultural differences or personal preference.
All menus are devised with the residents in mind. They are well balanced, nutritional and delicious! Alternatives to the daily menus are always available.
We have treats for birthdays and special occasions. We also provide themed meals to coincide with national events, like scones, strawberries and cream during Wimbledon.
