At Riverside House we offer comfortable, safe and friendly care and support.
The home has 32 registered beds. This includes four separate units over 3 floors. Each unit has its own lounge kitchenette and dining area. The home is located in a quiet residential area close to Kendal Town Centre and has beautiful views from the rooms and balconies over the river.
The home is staffed by qualified and experienced people who understand the complex care needs of residents with dementia. Riverside House is a family friendly home and the staff always go the extra mile to make sure our residents are happy and well looked after and that all visitors are made welcome.
We have our own hairdressing salon which is open weekly. At Riverside House we ensure that everyone is cared for as an individual. Everyone can choose how to spend their day. We offer a varied activity programme, which includes:

We aim to offer high quality person centred care where all can be themselves and have their individual support and care needs met to a high standard. We have 2 excellent cooks who provide exceptional well prepared and nutritious, home cooked meals. The cooks ensure each resident has a say in what appears on the menu. They also like to make sure that any special event is catered for so each resident gets a personalised cake to celebrate their birthday. There are cakes available daily and we also have takeaway nights that families are welcome to attend.
